Database Developer

Location: Chicago, IL

Background/Work Experience Required:

To be considered, candidates should have:

• 3+ years Oracle database development experience
• 3+ years data modeling experience

Additional Experience Preferred but not Required:

• Telecommunications industry
• UNIX navigation and shell scripting

Responsibilities and Duties:

The Database Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining Oracle databases at Neutral Tandem. Secondary responsibilities include assisting report and application developers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing effective data models for Neutral Tandem data
• Designing and implementing custom Oracle databases (tables, views, stored procedures, triggers, indexes, constraints, sequences, etc.)
• Optimizing databases and tuning applications for performance
• Assisting report and application developers (help with complex queries, performance tuning, etc.)
